Social Activities

Due to shared spaces on Sunday morning, it has become our custom to gather for coffee or breakfast at one of the local restaurants after worship.  Currently our venue is McCormick's Grill at the Golf Clubhouse on Captain Wylly Road.

From September through May, we take leave from McCormicks's Grill the second Sunday of the month and gather for coffee and goodies at the home of one of the members following the service. Bringing an item to share is strictly optional. See the Church Calendar for location.  Visit our Photo Gallery for pictures from a recent gathering.

Again, September through May, those of us who share the Methodist Church take turns hosting a pot-luck Ecumenical Dinner. These are always on the third Wednesday of the month. All are welcome to join in and are asked to bring a dish to share. The hosts are responsible for set-up and a brief program.

A recent popular activity that generates some welcome revenue for the Episcopal Church Women in their support of Manna House is our Soup Bowl Benefit. The Island Arts Association potters donate a panoply of hand thrown soup bowls that are the patrons' to keep while the ECW ladies provide a variety of "all you can eat" soups. This year's event was on March 10th in the Fellowship Hall. Watch for an announcement of advance ticket sales for next year's event. It is first come, first served and it will be a sell-out.
